Luxton Park Community Center offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages. Programs include fundamental and youth sports, Youthline, adult badminton and basketball, youth open gym, Luxton Painters, and JOY (Just Older Youth) Club.

The two-story recreation center has a gym with courts for basketball, volleyball and badminton, a computer lab, meeting rooms and two kitchens.

Special events include the Fire and Ice Festival, National Night Out, and a Halloween Party/Haunted House.

East Side Neighborhood Services also offers programs, including Somali Women in Minneapolis (SWIM) and an after-school tutoring program called Sydney’s Place.

Recreation Fee Assistance: Minneapolis residents who cannot afford instructional fees because of economic need may apply for fee assistance.
