Off-leash dog park is focus of Sept. 2 public meeting
The recreation center at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park has a unique architectural styling. In 1992 a gym was added to the building bringing the square footage to 20,261. This large space is filled with opportunities for all ages.
King has a number of rooms for community gatherings, including a lounge, kitchen, activity rooms, gym, computer lab and craft room. The arts and craft room features two kilns for fired ceramics, along with several tables for other craft activities.
The center provides exciting programming to take advantage of facility. The ceramics programs are popular, and the huge fieldhouse, which features a striking vaulted ceiling, offers sports activities for both young and old.
