| Brackett Recreation Center |
This is not your typical recreation center! Resembling a barn with a bright red exterior, arched roof and beautiful topography, it's located in Brackett Park just a few blocks off Lake Street in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Visitors are greeted by an outgoing and sociable staff. A meeting room connected to a complete kitchen can be rented for birthday parties and family gatherings. A computer lab is also available. The bulletin board and magazine rack in the lobby offers pamphlets and updates on current activities and programs.
Historical Profile: More information about this and other parks is included in Parks, Lakes, Trails and So Much More, a richly detailed account of the histories of Minneapolis’ renown recreational system.
