Stop by the recreation center at Longfellow Park and you will be amazed to find all that is offered in your backyard. The year-round staff will great you with friendly smiles and guide you to programs or activities that meet your needs.
The most popular activities cater to various  ages and include football, soccer, gymnastics, t-ball and the Longfellow Livewires senior programs.
If a sport isn’t your favorite way to pass the time ask about craft, cooking or other leisure classes.
The colorful exterior of the center contrasts a unique interior that resembles a rustic lodge with arched ceilings, skylights, overhead exposed wooden beams and lots of windows. When you are inside it's easy to forget that you are right in Minneapolis!
The main meeting room is stunning, encased in glass with high ceilings. You can almost hear the dinner conversation and laughter. If you are looking for something a bit less grand, there are four other meeting rooms.

| Minnehaha Falls of Fun Halloween Party, 2-4p.m. Saturday, October 30. $2 per person. At Minnehaha Falls Pavilion – 4801 Minnehaha Ave. S. Join us for a family fun event you won’t want to miss! Come dressed up in your favorite costume! There will be child friendly musical entertainment, hayrides, creepy crawly creatures to check out (courtesy of our park board naturalist program) fortunes told, marshmallow roasting, and a trail full of costumed characters for the children to trick and treat on! We will also be featuring a haunted cavern that will be sure to get a spook out of you this year, stroll on through if you DARE! Food & refreshments will be for sale!
