Permits and Reservations

Whether you are looking for a place to hold your outdoor wedding, a family picnic, want to reserve an athletic field, need a parking pass or want to purchase off-leash dog permit, you've come to the right place. In this section you’ll find information on permits and reservations, rates, Tips for Tourists, and downloadable and online permit applications. Permit fees help protect and maintain the Minneapolis park system.

Annual Patron Parking PermitParking
Park visitors can enjoy the convenience of designated parking by purchasing a parking permit. Other parking options are metered lots and pay stations.
Reservable picnic areas are available throughout the city for company picnics, family reunions or other outdoor picnic events.
The Minneapolis Park System offers picturesque venues for creating a unique and memorable wedding.
  Reception and Party VenuesReception and Party Venues
Schedule your anniversary party, corporate event or class reunion at one of several reception sites. Some sites offer food and beverage services and event planners.
Hundreds of sailboat buoys and kayak and canoe racks are available for rental on several popular Minneapolis lakes.
  Off-Leash Recreation AreasOff-Leash Dog Parks
Exercise your dog off the leash in a safe environment specially designated for your canine companion. Minneapolis offers six permitted off-leash dog parks.

  Food Truck Vendor PermitsFood Truck Vendor Permits
Licensed mobile food vendors may now operate in designated areas within the park system with a required one-day permit. Vendors may now apply online for permits.
