Best Nine-Hole Golf Course

Located in the historical Fort Snelling complex just minutes from the Mall of America and the International Airport, the Fort Snelling Golf Club is the perfect place to get away to play a quick nine holes of golf.

The par 35 layout is a great test for the average golfer offering a variety of holes. The course consists of six par 4's (all unique to one another), one par 5 and two par 3's.

The signature hole is the par 4-seventh, a classic ''risk/reward'' hole. At only 228 yards, this dogleg right tempts the longer hitter to attempt to reach the green in one shot. However, the water in front and out-of-bounds left and behind the green awaits any errant shot.

The golf course is known for its exceptional condition. The golfer will enjoy the closely mowed fairways and the smooth greens. If you have time for a quick nine, Fort Snelling Golf Club is the perfect place for you!

Historical Profile: More information about this and other parks is included in Parks, Lakes, Trails and So Much More, a richly detailed account of the histories of Minneapolis’ renown recreational system. (See Fort Snelling Park section.)
