The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers a men's and women's golf leagues for summer enjoyment.
Men’s Leagues
Men’s leagues are 9-hole match play. Each team consists of two players. Teams may be made up of more than two players (Many teams have three or four players due to members that may travel for their job or take vacations and are not available to play every week.), but only two players are allowed to comprise a team during any match. Each week a team competes against another team and plays for points. Points are tallied during the season and a year-end tournament is played in August.
Men’s leagues are offered at:
- Columbia Golf Club
- Hiawatha Golf Club
- Meadowbrook Golf Club
- Wirth Golf Club
Women’s Leagues
Women’s leagues are 9-hole individual stroke play. Each player plays for weekly on-course events. There are also monthly team matches throughout the season. The team matches are 18-hole events on weekends. Team matches rotate between the 5-18-hole golf courses. Each course fields a team to participate in these team matches, which makes for some great competitive golf. If you enjoy competition, then team matches are for you!
