  Around the World of Books in 8 Days! 2 week camp
Pack your bags and bring your imagination as we travel the world and visit some of our favorite story book friends. We will spend some time in France with our good friend Madeline. Stop by West Africa and see what that tricky spider Anansi is up to. Swing into Mexico to say “Ola” to Dora and Diego and so many other friends from around the world. Stories will be enhanced through crafts, cooking, games and dramatic play. Bring a swimsuit, sun screen, lunch and drink. Instructor: Ms. Jenny

  Big Top Mania! 2 week camp
The Circus is in town and needs some new acts! You will learn how to face paint, perform magic tricks, dance and sing! Along with all of these cool acts we are going to make some classic Circus treats, create fabulous Circus art and have a swinging time. To add to all of the fun our very own “Big Top Big Kids” are going to entertain us with their Circus and games on the last day. Bring a swimsuit, sun screen, lunch and drink. Instructor: Ms. Jenny

  Drip Drop Splash! 2 week camp
Ever wonder what it would be like to be an underwater explorer? 71% of Earth’s surface is covered in water and is the home to many great and mysterious creatures. In this class you will have an opportunity to create your own underwater diorama, experiment with water and even find some time to play in water. Wet and wild fun will be had by all! Bring a swimsuit, sun screen, lunch and drink. Instructor: Ms. Jenny

  Pirates and Princess! 2 week camp
“Argh me hearty is that there a Princess I spy”? Adventure into the world of Pirates who don’t like to brush their teeth, bathe and never say excuse me. Journey far, far away where Princesses like to brush their teeth, smell like flowers and are very polite. All Pirates will make their very own Pirate gear for swash buckling fun and our Princesses will be ready for any Royal ball. Bring a swimsuit, sun screen, lunch and drink. Instructor: Ms. Jenny

  Art in the Park
Secret messages abound in the work of artists around the world and across time. The Minneapolis Institute of Arts is coming with a FREE, hands-on studio art history workshop series. Young artists, K-6, will find meaning in the details, and explore the coded language of artists. In three 90-minute sessions at your park we will work in 2 and 3 dimensions, drawing, painting and mixing media, so dress for art!

Camp Awsome is all about camping! Learn the basics of camping like how to build a shelter, use a compass, cook with a camp stove and many more fun and useful skills.
