Village Parks meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday evenings February through July to explore the unique cultural and linguistic diversity in Minneapolis. Participants, ages 14-18, build friendships with people of varied backgrounds from around the city.

One facet is teaching children ages 5-12 about world language and culture through stories, games and songs in MPRB’s Rec Plus+ program.

Youth who complete 40 hours of leadership training, cultural exploration and youth teaching, receive a scholarship to attend a summer camp program of Concordia Language Villages at in northern Minnesota.

No prior foreign language experience is necessary; youth must be residents of Minneapolis.
