Once again, nature is coming to life as winter crawls out and spring creeps in. What better place to explore the natural wonders of spring than at a Minneapolis park? The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) offers creative and exciting nature programs for children that are tailored to their interests and age levels.
Nature in the Neighborhood is for children ages 6-12 years. Nature Nuts is for children five years and under. All programs are offered in a neighborhood recreation center. Nature Nuts: Down in the Dirt Children look underground for things that live in the dirt: burrowing animals, scaly creatures and insects with more legs than they can count. Children explore the park for growing plants and connect them to healthy soil. Four one-hour sessions, four weeks in a row.
