Featuring over 10 acres of majestic trees, hilly walking paths and eye-catching skyline views, Deming Heights Park boasts the highest elevation of any point in the parks system – 963 feet above sea level. This beautiful location provides a picturesque site for weddings, and is available for reservation. Located on St. Anthony Parkway at Fillmore St. NE, Deming Heights is part of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway.
Park and recreation destinations within a few short blocks of Deming Heights include Columbia Park, Columbia Golf Club and Driving Range, the St. Anthony Parkway Off-Leash Recreation Area, Cavell Park and Audubon Park, which features a Recreation Center offering youth programs and other activities.
Deming Heights Park is named for Portius C. Deming, a park commissioner during the years 1895-1899 and 1909-1919. The park was acquired in 1913 along with most of what is now St. Anthony Parkway. The park was known as Grandview Park until it was renamed in Deming’s honor in 1930.
