Shingle Creek Park
  Map Location

Shingle Creek Park, located in the northwest corner of Minneapolis, is part of the Shingle Creek neighborhood within the larger Camden Community. The park is on the west bank of Shingle Creek, a 12-mile waterbed that is home to many small mammals and birds. Creekview Park is on the east bank of the creek. The banks provide a natural environment for walking and biking paths. The bike path continues through Minneapolis and into Brooklyn Park. The two parks combined total 68 acres.

Shingle Creek features a waterfall along the path located at Lyndale Ave. N and Webber Parkway. Follow the walking path west from Lyndale; the waterfall is down the hill towards the railroad tracks and on the right.

Historical Profile: More information about this and other parks is included in Parks, Lakes, Trails and So Much More, a richly detailed account of the histories of Minneapolis’ renown recreational system.
