Located at Aldrich Ave. N and 16th Ave. N, Hall Park is in a vibrant section of the Near North neighborhood. The six-acre park is divided into two distinct sections that are connected by a pedestrian bridge over Lyndale Ave. N.
The east side of Hall Park features walking paths, picnic tables and a totlot playground. The park’s west side offers a basketball court, picnic tables and grills, a totlot playground and wading pool. Nearby parks offering youth programs and other activities include North Commons Park and Bethune Park. Other parks nearby include Sumner Field Park, and Lovell Square Park.
Hall Park was named after the adjacent Elizabeth Hall Elementary School which was built in 1960. The park evolved from a small playground installed at the school in 1968 to encompass six acres of landscaped parkland and updated facilities in 1979. The park’s shelter building was completed in 1980, and park amenities were updated in 2004.
