| Martin Luther King Park |
|
|
Martin Luther King Park is a stunning area that welcomes all. Take a stroll among the trees and on the grass and visit the recreation center to explore what the park has to offer.
A sculpture represents an outreach of friendship. The two-pronged wading pool, created by a sprinkling fountain, dances with delight as children play on a hot summer day.
There is a full basketball court for pickup games or organized programs. A regulation baseball field and two softball fields are also available for leagues and programs offered through the Park Board.
Historical Profile: More information about this and other parks is included in Parks, Lakes, Trails and So Much More, a richly detailed account of the histories of Minneapolis’ renown recreational system.
