Trails around the lake are 2.99 miles for bikers and skaters and 2.75 miles for walkers and runners. A totlot is located near the band shell. Visitors can purchase refreshments at the concessions building and pump fresh drinking water at the well.

Lake Harriet offers two supervised beaches: North and Southeast. Lake Harriet's North Beach now features a floating swimming dock, adding a splash of fun to the lake!
