As one of the picturesque lakes in the renowned Chain of Lakes, Lake Harriet features 67 acres of land and 344 acres of water. It is noted for biking and walking trails, a variety of water activities and summer concerts at the stunning band shell.
Trails around the lake are 2.99 miles for bikers and skaters and 2.75 miles for walkers and runners. A totlot is located near the band shell. Visitors can purchase refreshments at the concessions building and pump fresh drinking water at the well.
Lake Harriet offers two supervised beaches: North and Southeast. Lake Harriet's North Beach now features a floating swimming dock, adding a splash of fun to the lake!
Wheel Fun Rentals Offers bike, canoe, kayak, pedal boat, and stand up paddle board rentals.
Bread & Pickle Offers breakfast, lunch and dinner using local and sustainably grown or harvested ingredients in a zero-waste environment. Operated by the folks who bring you Bryant Lake Bowl, Barbette, Red Stag Supperclub, and Gigis.
Lake Harriet and the band shell also provide a stunning backdrop for weddings.

Reservable picnic shelter at Beard's Plaisance on the west side of the park has grills, tables, water, electricity. Call 612-230-6400 for reservations. A new picnic shelter on the north shore is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

3 wells are located in the area: picnic grounds on William Berry Drive; 4200 West Harriet Parkway, which is on during Winter; East Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Parkway.
