Despite numerous efforts in 2010 to repair very old and deteriorating water lines leading to the Farview Park wading pool, it was not opened in 2010 or 2011. Plans are underway for a new wading pool in the park, with construction expected to begin in 2012 and opening for use in summer of 2012. New wading pool and park improvements
Farview Park in North Minneapolis is known for its beautiful panoramic hilltop view of the city. Climb up the hill to see majestic old trees frame a stunning view of the downtown Minneapolis skyline. In the winter bring your sled for the ride down the hills. In the summer take a seat on the bench perfectly situated to enjoy the view or have a picnic.
The 21-acre park contains a recreation center, athletic fields for baseball, softball and football. The renovated gym is named the Gary Wilson Gym in honor of the longtime Northside coach.
