Fasten Your Seat Belt! – Primary Law in Effect June 9, 2009

The Minneapolis Park Police Department is responsible for law enforcement in the Minneapolis Park System. The department is not limited to only park calls; it works hand-in-hand with the City of Minneapolis Police Department in a mutual aid role. The Park Police has 33 sworn Patrol Officers and 23 Park Patrol Agents

The station is located on the first floor of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Headquarters at:

2117 West River Road North
Minneapolis, MN 55411


Park Police/Park Patrol Hours
8 a.m. to midnight – Labor Day-June
7 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. – June-Labor Day

Walk-In Service Hours
7 a.m.-5 p.m. - Monday through Friday.

The building is closed to the public after 5 p.m.-Monday through Friday, on weekends and holidays, but the phones are answered year-round until the end of patrol hours.
