The Minneapolis Park Police Department is responsible for law enforcement in the Minneapolis Park System. The department is not limited to only park calls; it works hand-in-hand with the City of Minneapolis Police Department in a mutual aid role. The Park Police has 33 sworn Patrol Officers and 23 Park Patrol Agents.

The station is located on the first floor of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Headquarters at:

2117 West River Road North
Minneapolis, MN 55411


Park Police/Park Patrol Hours
8 a.m. to midnight – Labor Day-June
7 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. – June-Labor Day

Walk-In Service Hours
7 a.m.-5 p.m. - Monday through Friday.

The building is closed to the public after 5 p.m.-Monday through Friday, on weekends and holidays, but the phones are answered year-round until the end of patrol hours.
