Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of outdoor concerts, movies, plays and dance performances in Minneapolis parks. All are free, so bring family and friends, snacks and a lawn chair or blanket.

Concerts are held at Lake Harriet Band Shell, Minnehaha Park, Father Hennepin Bluffs Park and Bryant Square Park. Choose from Jazz, Latin, Big Band, Folk, Rock, Bluegrass, Irish, ballet and much more.

Throughout the summer Minneapolis parks offer free family-oriented movies – ranging from the classic B&W movies to recent releases – on the Big Screen outdoors.

Plays and dance performances include the spontaneity of Stevie Ray’s Improv, Shakespearean classics by Cromulent Theater, as well as modern and classic dance.
