Get next to nature -- VOLUNTEER to make a difference!
Work with our Minneapolis Park Foresters to make long-lasting improvements in the parks!

Whether it’s planting young trees for Arbor Day event, mulching and watering trees, or the eradication of invasive species such as Buckthorn, volunteers (individuals and groups) are an important asset to the Forestry Division of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB).  Much is accomplished in a short time when our Foresters partner with a group of enthusiastic community volunteers!

Working with our foresters, you’ll receive instruction and guidance throughout the project – you may even go home with some tree tips that you can use in caring for the trees in your yard or on your boulevard!

Projects and tasks vary in size and scope, and if we don’t have an immediate project to fit your needs, we’ll inform you of other upcoming volunteer events that may be of interest to you and your group.
