Trees are the essential elements of nature that beautify our parks in Minneapolis and contribute to our city’s ecological health.

Many of the trees throughout our beautiful park system were donated as a memorial for a loved one or to celebrate a special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday, birth of a child, graduation or wedding.

You can help reforest our parks and natural areas by sponsoring an existing tree, or a new tree, in any park in our system.

To sponsor a tree or donate to the Tree Fund, visit the Minneapolis Parks Foundation website or call 612-822-2656 to initiate a tree planting as a gift or memorial.

The Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board thanks all who have helped keep our park system green and beautiful through tributes.
