The historic Theodore Wirth Chalet is the perfect place to warm up and refuel after a day of cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing, cycling, and other winter activities. The Bar and Grill inside the Wirth Chalet offers sandwiches, hot dogs, soup, snacks, and beverages, plus free wireless Internet.

Stop by the Wirth Chalet for cross-country ski and snowboard season and daily passes, to sign up for lessons, and for tubing, snowboarding and snowshoeing equipment rentals.

Wirth Chalet Hours

• Monday-Friday: 9 am-8 pm
• Saturday: 10 am-8 pm
• Sunday: 10 am-6 pm
• Holidays and Minneapolis School Release Days: 10 am-8 pm

Winter Party Packages

Wirth Winter Recreation Area is also an amazing facility to host your next birthday party or other special event for 10 or more guests. We offer:

• Private banquet facilities
• Catering services
• Snowboarding hill and all necessary rental equipment
• Professional snowboarding instructors
• Snow tubing hill, tubes, and tow rope
• Free Wi-Fi

Snow Tubing Parties

$18.00 + tax per guest

Our Snow Tubing Party Package Includes:

• Snow Tube Lift Ticket
• Tube Rental
• Exclusive use of Wirth Pub Room
• Selected Menu Option

Customers are required to use the park’s snow tubes. Children must be at least 4 years old or 42" tall.

For larger groups, guests may upgrade from the Wirth Pub Room to the Fireplace Room for an additional fee of $250.

Snowboarding Parties

Each snowboarding party package also includes the exclusive use of the Wirth Pub Room. Prices listed are per person.

For larger groups, guests may upgrade from the Wirth Pub Room to the Fireplace Room for an additional fee of $250.

Party Package Menus

A minimum of 10 guests required.

All of our packages include disposable plates, plastic silverware, and paper napkins. Choose one of the menu options below from Prom Catering, or work with our Event Consultant to design a custom menu that meets your needs and budget.

Weddings and Banquets

The upper level of the Wirth Chalet is the perfect location for wedding receptions, corporate parties, and other events for up to 150 guests. The Wirth Fireplace Room has a vaulted ceiling, a large wood burning fireplace, and the feeling of a rustic lodge.
