A new theater company, The Strange Capers, presents a highly inventive imagining of Shakespeare’s most beloved romantic comedy, As You Like It Saturdays and Sundays, July 11-Aug. 16, at Boom Island in Minneapolis. Outdoor performances begin at 2 p.m. and are free; donations are welcome. Boom Island Park located at 724 Sibley St. NE in Minneapolis

With song, dance, clowns, wrestlers, mistaken identity, and cross dressing, As You Like It tells a frolicking tale of love in the magic of a forest. This pastoral comedy explores themes of passion, transformation, and the beauty of a simple life.
