Lake Nokomis

Register now for the Gridiron Gallop 5K Run/Walk or Kids Run and do something healthy and fun with or in memory of Dad on Father's Day. The 7th Annual Gridiron Gallop, hosted by Chad and Jenni Greenway, features Minnesota Vikings player and cheerleader appearances with autograph opportunities for registered runners. Funds from the event benefit the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board’s (MPRB) youth athletic programming.

  • All pre-registered 5K participants receive a t-shirt and are eligible to win prizes
  • All pre-registered Kids Run participants receive a t-shirt and commemorative medal
  • Awards presented to 5K age division winners

When is the last day for online registration?

Pre-registration for the 5K and Kids Run closes June 13, 2013 at 9 a.m.

When do the 5K and Kids Run start?

The Kids Run starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9 a.m.

Where do the races start and end?

Both races start and end near the Lake Nokomis Main Beach.

Where should I park?

Street parking is available in neighborhoods surrounding Lake Nokomis.

When will race day registration be available for the 5K and Kids Run?

Race day registration will be available 7:30-8:30 a.m. on June 16 at Lake Nokomis Main Beach.

When and where is packet pick up?

Participants can register and check-in beginning at 7:30 a.m. on June 16 at the Lake Nokomis Main Beach.

Will there be post-race refreshments?

Yes! Stick around after the race and enjoy complimentary refreshments.

Is there bag check?

No gear check provided.

What will participants receive with registration?

All pre-registered 5K participants receive a t-shirt and are eligible to win prizes. Pre-registered Kids Run participants receive a t-shirt and commemorative medal. Awards will be presented to 5K age division winners.
