This is Jeff Sorenson’s fourth year at Columbia Golf Learning Center. He started teaching professionally in 2000 at Edinburgh USA, then moved to the National Youth Golf Center in Blaine in 2004, and finally to Columbia in 2005. Jeff is an accomplished player, including 28 Minnesota PGA victories with three of them being “Majors”. He uses video analysis in his lessons, but focuses more on a kinesthetic or “feel” approach to help the student grasp changes in their game. Jeff annually teaches 900-1,000 hours of golf instruction. |

Michael Hinton

Michael Hinton is the Director of Instruction for Columbia Learning Center and the Long Lake Golf Dome. Entering his seventh year, he is an in-demand coach and owner of the Hinton Golf Academy LLC. Michael has been a PGA Professional for 13 years and teaches exclusively with the V1 Video Golf Coaching System. He teaches with a variety of swing aids including a full swing plane trainer, weighted clubs, alignment aids, swing path aids, grip trainers and other useful tools to improve your swing. Michael teaches year round, has over 10 years experience with video analysis and averages around 1,200 lessons per year. |

Chris has been with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation system for several seasons. He has also taught with the John Jacobs Golf Schools during the winter for six years in Scottsdale, AZ. Not only is Chris a qualified instructor, he is an accomplished player. He has had several top finishes in Minnesota PGA Section tournaments over the past few seasons. |

Erik Toftner

Erik has been teaching golf for the past 12 years. His students range from beginners to scratch golfers, and individuals to groups, including juniors and seasoned golfers. Erik was the Teaching Pro at Mendakota Country Club for three years. He teaches year round and has three studios where he gives lessons. He was a two-time All-American at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona, and has won numerous Minnesota PGA events. |
